Project details
Ultim, in collaboration with its company Algae Capital, is developing an innovative microalgae production facility in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. The project includes a modern main building to support all core microalgae production processes. The building houses offices, meeting rooms, high-quality laboratories for quality control and R&D, and areas for product processing and packaging, technical installations and facilities for employees. The layout has been designed with scalability, operational excellence and an efficient logistics flow from raw material to end product in mind.

Ideal location for sustainable algae production
The location in Reykjanesbær combines sustainable conditions with excellent logistical accessibility. The proximity to Keflavík International Airport and various port facilities enables efficient supply and transport of raw materials and end products to international markets. Combined with access to renewable energy and natural resources, this provides a solid basis for reliable and cost-efficient production. Thanks to the ample development opportunities on the site, the main building has been designed with scalability in mind, allowing for seamless future expansion of operational capacity.
