Ultim, in collaboration with a partner, has transformed the former school building on De Gheijnstraat in The Hague into a distinctive residential complex. Following the transformation, the building now comprises 15 flats and 11 parking spaces. The renovation combined historical architecture with contemporary living standards.
Original details, such as the monumental entrance and authentic corridors, have been preserved. The high ceilings and large windows create a spacious, light atmosphere. Thanks to the clever redesign and the addition of voids, the former classrooms have been transformed into a modern, open-plan living space that meets today's standards of comfort.
